Health and wellness time at the Bridge

We ladies have said we are going to stick to getting exercise.  We have already started to drink more water everyday and we walk as often as we can for exercise. 

We have started eating healthy, with salad, fruit, we juice, and try different ingredients which is always interesting. 

What is so great is that one of the ladies and her husband are in the process of quitting smoking and they are doing well.  One thing to take the edge off is they started to walk again.  They walk about 2 miles per day, they have inspired me to do the same and will be increasing the distance each time we all walk. 

Some of the ladies and I lift light  weights about 5 Lbs. We are all senior citizens. We all keep regularly scheduled doctor appointments.   We also try different products to make new recipes.  You'd be surprised how many things you can sprinkle minced garlic onto.  Maybe I'll take pictures and share them with you the next time I'm feeling creative in the kitchen.

Here is a good salad to try:  

Spinach Salad

1. 5 cups torn spinach leaves
2. 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
3. 1/2  cup thin red onion wedges
4. 2  hard-cooked eggs, cut into wedges
5. 1/2  cup light Catalina reduced fat Dressing

  Toss all ingredients except dressing in large bowl, add dressing, mix lightly & serve immediately.
  Enjoy!

Ladies of the Bridge

Hi everyone, 

Well since last I blogged I have had a very blessed time. I have been volunteering at the Bridge Resale store. We are women who help people who are in need. 

First when any one comes in for help they must bring proof that they are in need, this process is in place to weed out anyone who would take advantage. There are so many people in need and we have a heart to help them. I believe in the process. 

We have several great departments: food, education/GED help, optic care, people would like to learn a trade, learning food preparation, and cooking. We have programs to help children with school lessons, we have church services, bible study, sewing classes, and much more.

The lady's that volunteer at the Bridge Resale store, are in the process of learning to staying on track to healthy living and we are all enjoying the process. 

We have a great crew. 

We thank God for allowing us to be able to help where we can.

Make your calling and election sure!

According to 2 Peter 1:10 God says, "Therefore, brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure.  For if you practice these things you will never stumble."  What I believe God is saying here is after you accept salvation make sure that you are earnest in your faith walk and be careful to not go back to your old way of thinking/living.

I bring this up because the time is here to choose life.  In this election year, it is time for everyone to get serious about who you are going to choose to lead our country. I pray that everyone of you has been praying to GOD about who is to be our next president.  

Now if you are thinking you will not vote because you do not like either candidate, please think again. If you choose not to vote, it will be just like voting anyway. You see silence is consent. Not voting means that you forfeit your right to complain about anything.

So my fellow Christians, please pray and vote for the person who you feel that you can trust over all others. Please read, pray and see a) who has lied to the public, b) who is not in with the people and c) who is against GOD's people. Those who are against His people will be cursed and those who are with GOD's people will be blessed. If you have a Bible read it and see what will happen to you when you disregard the Lord Jesus Christ. Think what will you do when you stand before GOD ??? Everyone will stand before HIM one day and that may be very soon, sooner then anyone knows in fact.

Think about this, Where will you like to spend eternity, in Heaven or hell ?? When you watch the news on TV and read the news papers you can plainly see how time is winding up, the Lord is soon to come and everyone will stand before GOD. If you do not believe me, get a Bible. If you do not have one, get hold of one and read Revelation (the last chapter in the book) see what is going to happen.

If you do not know JESUS get to know him, you need to attend a full gospel church so that you can get to know HIM, the Bible says to assemble yourselves together to learn and get to know HIm.

Make sure that you assemble with other believers in Christ Jesus and worship in a full gospel assembly teaching the gospel, the five fold ministry. Only Jesus can save!

God's Country The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. – Luke 18:27 Right now you and I are standing face to face with situations in our nation that need to be changed. Some of those situations look totally impossible. But they’re not. Because this country belongs to God. He’s the One who brought the United States of America into existence. He had a special purpose for it. He needed a country where the gospel could be preached freely and not suppressed. It was God Himself who stirred the heart and mind of Christopher Columbus and planted within him the dream of charting a new course to the West. Columbus said so in his own journals: “It was the Lord who put into my mind (I could feel His hand upon me) the fact that it would be possible to sail from here to the Indies. All who heard of my project rejected it with laughter, ridiculing me. There’s no question that the inspiration was from the Holy Spirit because He comforted me with rays of marvelous inspiration from the Holy Scriptures….” Who brought Christopher Columbus to America? God brought him. This is God’s nation. He raised it up, and it’s not going to be taken away from Him. The next time you’re tempted to look at situations in this country as impossible, remember who it belongs to. Then you can discover America just like Christopher Columbus did—by faith.

Pray for the U.S.A.

Well as a Christ follower I think it is pass time for me to ask. Are there any born again believers out there who are praying for our nation? 

Election time is here approaching and only GOD knows what the out come will be. Please pray about this very serious situation. As Kenneth Copeland says: The responsibility for our Nation does not only belong only on the shoulders of the politicians, but on the hearts of Born-Again Believers in prayer who've been given a higher form of power. PRAYER!

I say to you all Pray like you have never prayed before, it seems there are those who are trying to stop our prayers but all will be well.  We must stand up and not let those who are trying to slowly thanking away our Rights. What is happening to our Constitution of the United States of America??? I ask you WAKE UP !!!! People of America and see what is slowly happening to us.

Our rights are slowly and cunningly being taken away, and their are laws being forced on us to go against GOD and His Word. Again I say Wake up American before it is to late! There are people already here and they are in high positions slowly taking our rights away and putting things in position to take over completely. Take out your Bibles and read it and you will see exactly what is happening and read the last book in the Bible which is Revelation and see what is going to happen. Believe it or not time is winding up , JESUS is coming very soon and all (everyone) will stand before HIM by your selves and give an account. Whether you believe it or not this is going to happen. If you do not know Jesus as your Personal Savior and Lord simply pray the following prayer in faith, and Jesus will be your Lord!

Let me pray, "Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. Your Word says, "Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved " and"If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, ands halt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved". Lord, I take you at Your Word."

I needed time

 Hi everyone,

I have been away for a while but I am back. I needed time to spend with my family and to hone my craft.

While traveling I usually meet interesting people. One outstanding encounter was a young man from the military and his companion who is a handsome and well trained K-9 dog. They sat next to me on my flight from the California, the dog had a vest with a sign stating Do Not Pet, because he is a animal who is trained to protect.

People continued to try to pet the dog so the young man had to tell them that the dog can not be touched because no one was reading the sign. I don't know why people do not read, the dog was clearly labeled: DO NOT PET! 

This lets us know that we as people must always be alert because others do not pay attention to details. In spite of witnessing that type of human behavior, it was a good trip.

I am making reusable market bags and it is a nice project. I showed the first bag I ever made to my friends who purchased some as Christmas gifts. I thank GOD for giving me the talent to create items good enough to have a side business from what I enjoy doing. Well anyway I enjoy crocheting and I will be trying more things with God's help!!

Don't forget GOD

Hi everyone. It has been a while since I have written and as a Christian blogger.

Well please be happy to know that I have been praying about what to share with you and I believe it is past time.  Now I'm going to share what's on my heart.

As you can see things are getting worse in this world and if you read the Bible it tells that the things that have come upon us is for told in the Bible.  For one thing if you notice that prayer was taken out of the schools, now the government is trying to stop people from saying the name of JESUS. 

Things are absolutely getting worse. GOD said those who are against Israel will be cursed and those who bless Israel will be blessed. Genesis 12:3. 

This is time to pray and ask GOD to save your souls, it is time to get your lives right with Him. 

Just think everyone will stand before GOD one day all by yourselves and it may be very soon, remember be very aware of the signs of the time. 

When the USA goes against Israel they go against GOD. You may not believe what I have written, well just keep on living and you will see. 

Get a Bible and start reading and you will see just what is going to happen. When you forget GOD you may notice that things will happen that you probably did not intend. I pray that you will read the bible for yourselves. 

Where will you spend eternity heaven or hell ? It is your choice!!!!!! You do have a choice so which one will you choose?

I pray that you make the right one.

THE TALENT THAT THE LORD HAS GIVEN TO ME

The Lord has given me the talent to express myself creatively when I am asked for a hand made one of a kind item.  In this case my daughter asked me to sew a quilt for her so with some coaching from my dear friend [an expert quilter] the photos below show what I came up with.  I do hope that you enjoy looking at my quilt for it is an my expression of love for my daughter - 5 months in the making.  It is still an unfinished piece as I have some more patches to add to the border of this quilt.

In 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV) it says, "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms."  I fashion myself as a woman who strives to serve the Lord with my life as an example.  So when I am performing a task I do it unto the Lord.  Now I don't say this to inflate myself as an egoist because that would be unlike God.  I just like to encourage everyone to live a life upright and in service - especially if you have talents in any area of your life.

To God be the glory!!  Have a wonderful day.

Well Expo West is almost here, (next weekend). There will be many people in attendance to enjoy the Expo, and I pray that everyone will be safe and happy.

Let us remember that there will be people there that will physically challenged, and they have rights, so please be kind to them. We are there to learn about the many products and some may be able to help all to have a better quality of life. 

We are all there to enjoy the Expo and to get all the information. And remember you may be in a situation one day and we'll need help. I am being repetitive because last year although my daughter and I had a great time together, she is living with a disability and many times she was shoved aside and almost trampled over her when she tripped.  This upset me greatly but we recovered and enjoyed the entire show.

Please, treat people the way you would like to be treated. I hope to see you there, and this year I will be blogging about those who I observe on every level, and I'll also be writing about all of the amazing products and services - the reason why I attend.

Most of all God is watching us all.

PRACTICE COMPASSION

Hello Bloggers, 

I trust all is well with you. Well Expo West will be here in a few weeks. I hope you are ready for a great experience.  I understand it is going to be better than it was last year, well if that is so, it will be great.  There were some great products and nice vendors to inform you about their products. I am looking forward to learning about the different products because there will be many to learn about and try. 

Last year, the atmosphere was great and the people were nice, there were also a few vendors that were not so nice. I noticed that those who had a physical challenges [like my daughter has and like I have occasionally with my foot] were pushed aside and walked over.  Those people have a right to be there just like everyone else, getting information and learning.

My daughter has a wonderful blog too by the way, it is called Stroke Survival Magazine.

People who have something against people with disabilities must really learn to be more compassionate because they may one day be in a situation where they need help and need people to understand that.  My daughter certainly did not think she was going to have a stroke 1 week after her 38th birthday!  

So if you see someone who is in a situation either help them out or just keep walking, we understand and we do not bother anyone, just think what goes around comes around.  Well I will close now with this: 

                        Life's challenges are designed not to break us but to bend us toward God.

Natural Products Expo West 2015

Greetings to all of you,

I would like to ask you if you will be attending the great Health Expo West this year in Anaheim California? I hope you will be there. If you have not been there you must try to attend. There is so much to see, and so much to learn from all of the vendors and the many products to learn about (from diet and vitamin supplements to services like massage and farm products delivered to your front door to beauty products, bath and beauty, cleaning products and hundreds of food samples for infants and adults.)  It is quite overwhelming but worth walking through the exhibit halls and listening to seminars by the expert speakers.

Also you meet some very nice people who can help you to learn about and experience the many products and services offered. I hope to see you in March. 

As you may or may not know I blog about keeping your mind and body in good health, and I want you to be spiritually fortifying as well so I leave you with this:

I greet you and I want to let you know that I am feeling much better and all is well after my operation.  God is so good, I thank him for being with me all the way through my healing and I really just praise God for my life!

I am so looking forward to attending the Natural Products Expo West with my daughter this March. The reason is because I report back to my church and to my local health food store ALL of the wonderful products and services that I discover and am introduced to each time that I attend the expo.  My church community has a number of people who can greatly benefit from my positive reports on what may be able to aid with their respective & individual health situations.  I also write for my church newsletter and always like to report on ways to encourage everyone to become and to remain healthy!

There is so much information I need to learn about each year and some samples to bring back for everyone to try.  As I am also involved with missions and other services at my church like our Goodwill themed store and community outreach @ Christ Central in Aiken.  I am a loyal volunteer and I study with Restoration of Israel Ministries at their South Carolina Headquarters.  We are deeply involved with counseling and Africa missions as well.  One of my favorite things to do is to crochet blankets, hats and booties for newborns in the maternity ward at our local hospital.  Needless to say I certainly look forward to telling you all about my 2015 experience at the NPEW in Anaheim California this year!

We'll I am looking forward to being at Expo-West in 2015, with my daughter who lives in California. 

Last year there was so much,to see and learn about the many products. I will be looking for supplements that will be good for seniors. 

The church I belong to has many seniors who could benefit from my findings.  I am sure they would be interested in sampling several items in order to know f they will become consumers.  Or even to try items for their good health.   

So next year, I will be looking for information and samples, because we are here and deserve to have a voice about all of the wonderful products and services

I -Pad Air, I won, I won!

 Hi Bloggers, 

It has been a while since you have heard from me. We'll I have been through quite a bit. First My computer died after 12 years.  Second I've been in the hospital but I am doing very well now, praise the name of the living God!!  Lastly my dear sweet brother passed away.  But God heals our sorrow and gives us strength during our grief.

I prayed and asked God to bless me with a I Pad and He did. I entered a raffle drawing hosted by one of my favorite vendors Suzanne's Specialties and I won an Apple I-Pad Air at the 2014 Natural Products Expo West. Suzanne's Specialties has been around since 1984 creating the best organic & vegan sweeteners.  I love their strawberry fruit spread because it is thick enough to enjoy the fruit - you see the chunks, but it is supple enough to spread on anything without without tearing.

I decided to donate my desk top computer to my church, and they had it fixed enough to be able to use it in the church office.  Now I will be able to Blog more frequently again now because of my wonderful new tech gadget.  I just love my I-Pad Air. 

I am grateful that I have so many prayer warriors in my life and that God's grace is sufficient.  My doctor told me that I would be able to travel for my brother's funeral not long after my operation.  So it has been quite a year. 

I am speaking perfect health into my life so that said, I am looking forward to attending the NPEW in California in early 2015. And very much looking forward to meeting many of you there in March, by God's grace.

It has been a while since I wrote a blog post.  The reason is that I made the decision to donate my desktop computer to help people learn to use it, so they will be able to gain employment.

One of the dozens of products that I tried was Go Raw which was a live Granola Bar. They are gluten,wheat free, nut free, and they are certified organic and good for you, and they are 100 mg of omega-3.
One service that I tried was a full back and shoulder massage.

This past March, I attended the Natural Products Expo West in California with my daughter and we had a great time. We met vendors from all over the world with wonderful products and services. 

There were so many things to try, here is another one I thought was good also,the Veggie Shreds that are made with real fruit and veggie sugar apples.  I won a raffle, an I-pad Air from Suzanne's Specialties booth!! Suzanne's has Wonderful jelly and vegan desert toppings.  You see God blessed me with the ability for me to still blog, because I blessed a community with my desktop computer.

I'm back in the mix

Hello Bloggers,

Happy New Year!  It has been a while since I have talked to you. I have been on a bit of a journey traveling, visiting family and friends while also looking for the best item(s) to replace my old malfunctioning desktop computer. Well, now I am back happily on line.  I also volunteer twice a week at an organization called Christ Central.   There we have many missions from education and outreach to transition. I just love meeting people and helping be an encouragement in any way that I can.

At Christ Central we minister to people through giving out free food and clothing.  We are also there for people who desire it, to have someone to talk to and to pray with. So many people need this type of support. They usually do not have anyone to turn to. When things seem impossible for them, we let them know that with God all things are possible to those who will believe.  We feed their souls and minds with the Word of God and literally feed them with food. 

Well I will be traveling again soon to go to the Natural  Products Expo West [my second year attending].  I am so excited to share the new natural products and services that I will be learning about. I am also looking forward to possibly becoming one of the chosen bloggers to be on the We.Blog Editorial Board for the expo.  For those of you unfamiliar with the NPEW [Natural Products Expo West], in Anaheim California each year thousands of manufacturers, entrepreneurs and enthusiasts gather to showcase and discuss the leading remedies in the quest for health & wellness.  In my family experience I've seen the wonders of making the choice to make yourself well from exploring our earth. God is amazing ensuring we have everything we need to sustain our lives from plants, berries, water, soil and clay.  I am constantly reading about how to cook differently, what condiments to use, and whether or not to prepare something to eat raw, or with heat.  It's all fascinating. 

I am looking forward to seeing what is there this year. There will be many vendors and events from all around the world, so be there and see how you to can get in good health.

I will be blogging all about my findings as well as more travel stories soon. So until, then stay healthy and for those who do not do it habitually, become prayerful.  For those of you who have incorporated a prayer life into your lifestyle keep being encouraged.

Bun Bun's California Adventure

It has been a long time since I wrote a blog post. And I am sorry about that because I have been having a time with my computer glitches, but enough of that. First a few pictures of the event I'm about to tell you all about.

Here is what I have to tell you, I attended the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim California for the very first time, but it will not be my last. It was pretty exciting. I was there with my daughter and her friend - both bloggers. There was so much to see and experience it took three days to walk around and try to see all of the vendors who had natural products and services from all over the world.  Here is a very short list of some of the samples that I had:

Everything they did from greeting everyone to feeding everyone - and the food was very good!  Well I will close for now until another day, please check out these items it will be worth it.

Hi everyone, this is very serious and I believe all should really be aware of what is going on in this world. To know what is happening and what is going to happen, refer to your Bible and pray to God for understanding and most of all read it. There will be no excuse about knowing the Word of God. You read other books and newspapers to find out what is going on in the world, try the Bible. If we are a Christian Nation as it says in the Constitution of the United States then why are we standing by and letting a few people dictate what they like and we are being but in bondage slowly. Wake up!!!!

Our Freedom is slowly being taken away from us. Our fore fathers lived and died for our freedom, if you believe this then why are we letting our freedom be taken away. We are being told that we can not say the name of Jesus or God, but other people can bow and say  their prayers, and Christians are told our children can not pray in school, they want to take God our of our Pledge to the Flag of the United States. If we are in the Land of the free and the home of  the Brave, then why are we slowly being dictated to and our freedom is slowly being taken away????

We have the right to serve OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST just as much as the other religions have to serve their gods. Why is it ok  for Christians to be told because we believe and say the name of JESUS that they are offended?  Well believe it or not everyone will stand before JESUS and give an account of their lives. Think about this there is a Heaven and a Hell and you will spend eternity in one place or the other. (Where do you want to spend eternity??) 
About Israel and it's land, that is GOD'S land and He will deal with those who are trying to divide it. Be very aware about this. (READ THE BIBLE AND FIND OUT WHAT WILL HAPPEN) NOT MAYBE  BUT WHAT WILL HAPPEN. Every time GOD and his Son the Lord JESUS is dishonored disaster happens, research back and see when all these disasters started. If people do not turn to GOD and ask for His forgiveness things will get worse. Things are coming on this earth that you can not imagine.

Zenify ENERGY

Well it has been quite a long time since I have last written a post.  I have been on a long journey -traveling much around the North Eastern part of the country - and it has and it's not yet over. While I was visiting my daughter in California last summer, during Earth Day we attended one of the many celebration events in the city.  The one that we chose took place in Balboa Park; one of the many parks near her home. It was quite a hot day over (95 degrees) and while walking around enjoying the different vendors, I became a bit light headed and I had to sit down. After we found a place in the shade, my daughter went to find water for me to drink.  When she came back I discovered that she brought a natural/organic drink called ZENIFY which turned out to be just the thing I needed. After I drank it, I had the most surprising burst of energy.  Therefore we continued to enjoy the rest of the day, but before we left the park we were sure to purchase a few more cans to take home with us. When I returned home from California I told some of my friends about the energy drink and they all were interested in trying to get some sent to us here in South Carolina but to no avail.

Some of the foods are salads, fruits, tea, fish dishes, and different (reduced calorie) desserts, we have such a great time each month!  During our last women's retreat one of the ladies (a dance teacher) danced for us all and then invited us to join her.  It is our form of exercise; old ladies grooving to the beat LOL -  it was so much fun!! At the retreat we had some great healthy food as well. We are all seniors and we are doing what we can to stay healthy.  In order to not contribute to consumer excess, I am crocheting and getting ready for the cold weather and having this crafting talent makes great holiday gifts for family and friends.  I guess you can say that I'm truly zenified.

Much to think about

Good saturday morning,
Every morning before I start my day, I spend time talking with GOD.. In Psalm 118:24 This is the day that the Lord has made I will rejoice and be glad in it.
Thers is so much to be thankful for, even though things seem to be spinning out of control, I know that GOD is in full control.  I know you may be saying, "Then why doen't He do something." Well He allows things to happen but He does not cause them.

There are two forces in this world and you must choosse which one you will serve 1)GOD is good and 2) Satan is evil. You may not understand what I am saying, so I think you should read the Bible and see what it says about the two forces. Don't be afraid to read the Bible and see for your self what it says. If you can spend the time to read other things: books, magazines and news papers then the Bible can should be added to the pile.  And be enlightened to what is going on and what will be taking place very soon. THINK ABOUT IT!

Well, have you been thinking about our freedoms that are being taken away from us slowly??
I know you might be saying, "Yeah yeah, blah, blah" and not believe what I am saying.  But just think about it!!

My mother use to say,"Just keep on living and you will see." Well I pray that while we're busy living it will not be too late. But sadly many people who do not believe or think that things are not that bad will be sadly enlightened about the things that are coming upon us, because we are asleep to the things that are happening around us and we are not doing anything about it. The Bible is coming to pass. Don't let it be too late for you.

I would like for you to think about thess things:
Why are people so set on taking the phrase In God we trust off of our money and other things? Our country was founded on GOD.
Why do people want to put people in jail because they want to pray and talk about JESUS?
Why is it alright to talk about other religions but they want to silence Christians?
Why are we letting them do that to us Christians?
Why are we letting them take Christ out of Christmas? Think about that!!
Why are we letting our freedoms be taken away slowly? It is like we are being hypnotized.
WAKE UP!
WAKE UP BEFORE IT IS REALLY TOO LATE!
Seek information about our fore fathers how America was founded.
Think about when Americans let prayer be taken out of our schools WHAT HAPPENED? People want to blame God for that. Satan was the cause of that.

It is my presumption that many more desasters that will happen because people have left God out of their lives.

Think about that.
